About the Role
ESH is seeking to recruit an individual for our secondary school who is primarily student-centred, but also driven and knowledgeable in teaching the European Romanian curriculum. Our aim is to make a difference in the lives of the students we teach, not only in the academic setting of the classroom, but socially and emotionally, too. We believe in supporting the holistic growth of our students as they take their steps toward becoming life-long learners, inspiring them to be responsible, future-focused, and proactive citizens of Europe and the world.
Our school values of Ambition, Positivity, and Respect underpin the Mother Tongue Department focus. This framework allows us to challenge our students to reach beyond their capabilities by fostering high expectations in our day-to-day lessons; cultivate positive and caring relationships with those whom we teach, modelling how students should treat each other in a kind and positive manner, and perhaps most importantly, model how to build respect in a multinational, multilingual school that strives for diversity and inclusion. Knowing our students and supporting their needs lies at the heart of our teaching.
The successful candidate for this vacancy will be joining a highly skilled Mother Tongue Department. It is a dynamic team strengthened by the diverse backgrounds of our teachers, their individual approaches to teaching and learning, and their different experiences in school environments. This part-time position offers our new colleague the opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming department that values professional autonomy as well as enjoying the benefits of collaboration. We are a team who seek to build upon and share our collective knowledge, finding innovative ways to engage our students while personalising tried-and-tested strategies to suit our classes.
