About the Role
ESH is seeking to recruit an individual for our secondary school who is primarily student-centred, but also driven and knowledgeable in teaching the European Romanian curriculum. Our aim is to make a difference in the lives of the students we teach, not only in the academic setting of the classroom, but socially and emotionally, too. The successful candidate for this vacancy will be joining a highly skilled Mother Tongue Department. What We’re Looking For
· A Licenciado – universitaire, Mestre – universitaire, Licenciado – Politécnico or Mestre – Politécnico in Portuguese language and literature
· Fully qualified teacher status for secondary education, recognized in the country where the qualification was obtained. Your teaching qualifications must meet the Dutch Education Authorities’ DUO standards.
· English at a B1 level (CEFR).
· Experience teaching students aged 11–18.
· Open and positive attitude to long-term feedback (learning never ends).
· Hands-on, proactive approach and ability to differentiate.
· Professional attitude (e.g., meeting deadlines, maintaining a professional workspace).
· Team player mentality for collaborating with colleagues, students, and parents.
· Familiarity with international or intercultural education.
· Knowledge of additional EU languages is an advantage.

· We offer a salary aligned with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO VO). The salary is a minimum of 3622€ and a maximum of 5520€ for a full-time contract on the LB scale. The step offered will depend on your level of experience.
