Who we are
We are an IB continuum school offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). We are a communtiy of around 1100 students and 185 staff members from all over world. ISU is a member of the Dutch International Schools (DIS), a group of government- subsidised schools providing internationally oriented primary and/or secondary education. As such, ISU is part of two collaborating school boards, SPO Utrecht (primary) and Nuovo Scholen (secondary).
Vacancy
The International School Utrecht is looking to a PYP Music Teacher with experience in the International Baccaleureate.
Qualifications and experience:
- A primary teaching qualification (DUO recognised)
- Experience teaching IB PYP is preferred
- A strong musical knowledge with proficiency in singing, instrumental performance, and music theory.
- A variety of teaching methods such as Orff, Kodály, or other child-centered approaches.
- Knowledge and understanding of inquiry-based teaching

- Ability to be a committed team player.
- Near-native level spoken and written English language.
- Demonstrates professionalism, commitment, integrity, and perseverance.

- An up-to-date knowledge and understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures.
- Ability to design and develop education environments and programmes and build on students learning, development and interactions.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues and parents effectively.
