About the Role
ESH is seeking to recruit an individual for our secondary school who is first and foremost student-centered, but also driven and knowledgeable in teaching the European Italian curriculum. Our aim is to make a difference in the lives of the students we teach, not only in the academic setting of the classroom, but socially and emotionally, too. We believe in supporting the holistic growth of our students as they take their steps toward becoming life-long learners, inspiring them to be responsible, future-focused, and proactive citizens of Europe and the world. You will teach 1 class, S4L1 for 4 periods per week, with an option to additionally teach up to 2 periods of support lessons per week.
The successful candidate for this vacancy will be joining a highly skilled Italian Department. It is a dynamic team strengthened by the diverse backgrounds of our teachers, their individual approaches to teaching and learning, and their different experiences in school environments. As a Teacher of Italian, you will:
· Deliver engaging lessons to students aged 11-18, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum.
· Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student’s talent is nurtured.
· Collaborate with a team of passionate educators to support a thriving Italian programme.
What we are looking for
· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Italian Language / Italian Literature (First-degree/Eerste graads) and full teaching qualification for Secondary Education (recognized by the Dutch Education Authorities (DUO).
· You hold a fully qualified teacher status for Secondary Education in the country the qualification is obtained
· Native speaker of Italian
· Experience in teaching Italian to native speakers native and/ or experience in teaching Italian as an additional language from beginner level to advanced level
· Experience in teaching the age group of 11-18
· Experience in international or intercultural education
· Good ICT skills and an understanding of ICT use in an educational context
· Living in the Netherlands

· We offer a salary aligned with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO VO). The salary is a minimum of 3622€ and a maximum of 5520€ for a full-time contract on the LB scale. The salary scale and the step offered will depend on your level of experience.
