_When you work in the ESH’s Science Department, you will be part of a multicultural team of passionate teachers delivering lessons across four language sections. As a Teacher of Integrated Science, you will:

· Deliver engaging Integrated Science lessons to students aged 11-14, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum.

· Plan and deliver safe lessons involving lab experiments.

· Encourage creative thinking and skill development through a variety of teaching methods.

· Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student’s talent is nurtured.

· Collaborate with a team of passionate educators, lab assistants and classroom assistants to support a thriving science program.

What We’re Looking For

· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either Biology, Chemistry or Physics. Your teaching qualifications must meet the Dutch Education Authorities’ DUO standards.

· Proficiency in English at a C2 level (CEFR).

· Experience teaching students aged 11–18, ideally in international or intercultural settings.

· Open and positive attitude to long-term feedback (learning never ends).

· Hands-on, proactive approach and ability to differentiate.

· Professional attitude (e.g., meeting deadlines, maintaining a professional workspace).

· Team player mentality for collaborating with colleagues, students, and parents.

· Positive general demeanor.

· A creative, inclusive approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.

· Knowledge of additional EU languages is an advantage.

· We offer a salary aligned with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO VO). The salary is a minimum of €3622 and a maximum of €5520 for a full-time contract on the LB scale and the step offered will depend on your level of experience.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, either in person or via Microsoft Teams. As part of the interview process, may be ask to teach a lesson to an assigned class under the observation of the Subject Coordinator, and possibly Line Manager; part of the interview will focus on discussing this lesson. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply early to ensure consideration. In case of equal suitability, internal candidates are preferred. Applicants are eligible for the reimbursement of travel expenses. The recruitment officer will provide more information upon invitation.
