When you work in ESH’s Music Department, you will be part of a multicultural team consisting of 4 passionate music teachers. We are looking for a music technician who can support the music team to deliver engaging lessons and support students who want to take their music practice to the next level. Key responsibilities
- Maintaining, tuning and repairing instruments and other equipment
- Supervising music facilities during non-teaching periods and offering technical support to students who wish to use the facilities.
- Delivering technical support for the music department, including creating podcasts.
- Managing the school’s music inventory, maintaining accurate records of equipment.
- Helping in the daily management of the music department.
- Assisting with the setup and operation of equipment for rehearsals, performances and shows.
- Helping with the setup and takedown of stage equipment
- Ensure all technical operations comply with school policies and health and safety regulations.
- Participate in bi-monthly music department meetings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A qualification in Music Technology, Sound Engineering, Music Production or similar; or a Bachelor’s degree in music.
Desirable experience:
- Experience using music technology software such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live, GarageBand, Cubase, or Sibelius.
- Experience in maintaining and setting up PA systems, recording equipment, and musical instruments.
- Experience providing technical support for performances, concerts, or assemblies.
- Previous work or voluntary experience in a school or youth setting, and the ability to support students
- Familiarity with DAWs and digital audio recording/mixing.
- Experience with inventory management and equipment booking systems.

o The minimum salary is €2675 and a maximum of €4764 (OOP scale 7). The salary will be pro rata for part-time positions.
o 8% holiday allowance (May)
